Aliya Merali

Learning & Access

Discovering her passion for physics in high school, Aliya believes in the significance of STEM learning and educational access for all. After receiving her B.S. in physics from The College of New Jersey, Aliya joined the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory to execute and evaluate educational programs in plasma physics. Aliya's interest in urban efficiency and the power of data science ultimately led her to pursue a M.S. in Urban Science and Informatics from NYU’s Center for Urban Science and Progress, where she used data science to tackle real-world challenges in the urban context. Combining her ardor for educational access with her belief in the empowering nature of technology, Aliya now leads educational initiatives for C4Q.
