Entrepreneurship Program Manager

The Entrepreneurship Program Manager will help lead the growth of the tech ecosystem in Queens by being the main liaison between C4Q and tech companies.  Equipped with a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by entrepreneurs and startups, this person will be responsible for creating entrepreneurial initiatives, fostering new business partnerships, and increasing the C4Q network.

The Entrepreneurship Program Manager will help realize the brand of Queens as an innovative and inclusive tech community. In addition to growing existing C4Q programs such as Queens Tech Meetup and Startup Advisory Day,  the Entrepreneurship Program Manager will develop new programming such as developer meetups, hackathons, Startup Weekends, and other events that support members of our community. The Entrepreneurship Program Manager will also support the C4Q Access Code program to increase the talent pipeline for non-traditional audiences, and assist in new mentorship, internship, and job opportunities.

C4Q works with leading business and philanthropic organizations to build an innovative, inclusive, and diverse Queens tech community. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead C4Q relationships with tech companies and entrepreneurs in Queens, New York City, and beyond

  • Understand the needs and support entrepreneurs, companies, and students in Queens and within the C4Q community

  • Lead the production and execution of C4Q tech events and workshops, such as Queens Tech Meetup, Education Workshops, Startup Advisory Day, hackathons

  • Develop entrepreneurship and mentorship programs that grow a tech talent pipeline in Queens to include Access Code participants and students from the City University of New York

  • Secure internship and job commitments from tech companies and entrepreneurs to support the growth of C4Q, Access Code students, and our community

  • Work with C4Q volunteer co-chairs to produce events and workshops

  • Assist Growth & Development Officer with corporate sponsorships

 

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of tech companies, startup ecosystems, and entrepreneurship
  • Demonstrated excellent project management experience, possessing the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, comfort building financial models, and skill working with data sets
  • Outgoing personality, ability to work with multiple stakeholders from various backgrounds including government and academic institutions

  • Demonstrated leadership for growing team and volunteers

  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
